Tradition

Commitment to excellence is one of our Saint Louis Soccer values allowing for our tremendous history and legacy. The commitment to excellence applies to the Saint Louis Soccer Camps as well. Not only is the soccer coaching excellence at Saint Louis Soccer Camps, but so are the top-notch facilities provided to its participants. In addition to multiple on-campus soccer fields, participants can gain firsthand experience in the college soccer stadium, carrying the most success in college soccer history: Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

Robert Ringen Hermann was a native St. Louisan with tremendous involvement in his community. With his success as a businessman, his involvement in his community and his great passion for sports and in particular soccer Hermann stands for everything that the Saint Louis Billikens ought to present: Competition, Education and Building Community. Hermann is the symbol for the origin of professional Soccer in the United States, as he brought professional soccer to the United States. In 1967 he created and chaired the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL), which went on to merge with the United Soccer Association and became the North American Soccer League (NASL). Every year, in the honor of 2001 U.S. National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee Robert R. Hermann, the prestigious Hermann Trophy is awarded to the best collegiate soccer player. Four Billikens have won the prestigious award a total of five times.

Since 1999 the newly renovated Robert R. Hermann stadium is home of the most successful college soccer team with 10 National Championships. The most in college soccer History. Ever since its renovation, Robert R. Hermann was the location of multiple Atlantic 10 Championship tournaments, has been an NCAA venue in 11 of the 17 years since the renovation, and was home of the 2006 NCAA Mens Soccer College Cup.
